Walk-away processing of virtually any EIA or Chemiluminescence assay. The ThunderBolt® offers automation features previously reserved for instruments many times the price and size.

Streamline your workflow with easy loading, and fully automated processing, reading and reporting of results. Experience the difference ThunderBolt® automation will bring to your laboratory.

ULTIMATE FLEXIBILITY

Premium content, expert installation.

Leverage a vast network of premium assays sourced from the best manufacturers around the globe. Program the ThunderBolt® to run virtually any EIA or CLIA* assay with up to eight different protocols in a single batch.

COMPACT & CAPABLE

Reclaim bench space, maintain capability.

Even as the smallest and lightest instrument in its class, the ThunderBolt® packs a punch. Recover bench-top real estate occupied by bulky, outdated equipment by upgrading to ThunderBolt® automation. With a 2’ x 2’ footprint, and weighing in at a mere 65 pounds, the ThunderBolt® can easily be moved by one person.

INTUITIVE, ADAPTABLE SOFTWARE

Easy operation, in-depth analysis.

Just like the hardware, the ThunderBolt® software provides all the features your lab requires, and more. Intuitive operation allows for easy training and ongoing use. The Test Designer allows for exceptional assay protocol adherence, and the Report Generator offers numerous reporting and analysis options that can be tailored to your lab’s needs.

Features

SOFTWARE THAT WORKS THE WAY YOUR LAB DOES.

The ThunderBolt® software adapts to your laboratory to enable maximum productivity and deliver highly reliable results. The Test Designer combines with the multitude of other features to make ongoing operation of your ThunderBolt® as effortless as possible. The Test Designer allows configuration of virtually any EIA or Chemiluminescence assay protocol down the most minute detail.Computations include: Point to point, linear regression, cubic spline, 4PL, 5 PL, Lin-Lin, Lin-Log, and Log-Log representation. The software integrates with most LIS systems, and provides a fully bidirectional interface.

SLIDE IN RACKS

Reduce errors and streamline setup.Slide In Racks utilize a bar code reader that allow the user to simply place each individual sample in the rack, slide in the instrument, and automatically scan for positive sample identification. The ThunderBolt® further streamlines setup with a sliding sample and reagent tray that provides easy access to the Slide In Racks for patient samples, and the 16 reagent positions.

BUILT-IN READER (EIA OR CLIA+EIA)

Ultra-compact and fully-automated reader options

Configure your ThunderBolt® with either an LED spectrophotometer for ELISA processing, or a combination EIA+CLIA spectrophotometer/chemiluminescence reader to handle both ELISA and chemiluminescence assays. The ELISA reader uses LED’s and provides multiple benefits including: 100x longer bulb life, less ambient heat, more specific wavelengths and ultra-compact size. The EIA+CLIA reader boasts increased capability while maintaining the full automation, small size and excellent durability of the ELISA spectrophotometer.

ORBITAL SHAKER

No-spill design, up to 900 RPM.

Keep fluids in the well while vigorously shaking with the fully-integrated and automated orbital shaker. Attain repeatable and accurate results through better mixing of reagents with less chance of spillage.

CONVECTION INCUBATOR

Eliminate “Edge Effect” by evenly heating each well.

The forced convection incubator quickly and uniformly heats each individual reaction well, allowing the ThunderBolt® to deliver consistent results. Have confidence in your results by eliminating the uneven heating, or “edge effect”, commonly seen with traditional chamber incubators.

HIGH PRECISION MICRO-SYRINGE

Aspirate 1µl with less than 3% CV.

The ThunderBolt® features a highly precise micro-syringe that maintains the same level of precision as other instruments in its class, but at much lower volumes. The ThunderBolt® accurately and precisely aspirates 1μl volumes at less than 3% CV, allowing sample dilutions to be performed directly in the reaction wells, eliminating the need for extra pre-dilution steps.

PROBE-MOUNTED CAMERA

Real-time process monitoring and remote diagnostics.

The probe-mounted camera allows ThunderBolt® operators to monitor internal operations in real-time. The camera and system logs also allow GSD technicians to remotely resolve most problems for maximum instrument uptime.
